Yet Another Centenarian in Glenkeen! 

On Saturday 8th August, Glenkeen Nursing Home celebrated a very special birthday. Martha, who has been in Glenkeen for little under a year, turned 100 years old.

Due to social distancing, Martha could only watch her family members which included great grandchildren, from the front door but nevertheless she was thrilled. The family has organised Tamlaght  Pipe Band to come and perform to Martha, tea/coffee cake and sandwiches were provided and the weather was astonishing. Martha truly had an amazing day.

In between the cards, (whom one was addressed from the Queen),Gifts and Flowers, Martha was so thankful for everyone coming and enjoyed herself so much.

To Martha, each day has held a promise that she can truly appreciate. It’s another opportunity, another chance to try new things, and another day to celebrate. Her life has inspired so many and her inner strength and faith resonate in everything that she does.

From every single staff member in Glenkeen we wish Martha a very happy, healthy and enjoyable birthday.
