Thanks to Everyone Who Helped with Cook Out For Carers at Glenkeen
During this pandemic, things can be quite doom and gloom, but at Glenkeen we are all keeping our spirits up for our staff and especially our residents.
As a token of gratitude for our staff, our Activity Therapist held a BBQ for all the carers right here in Glenkeen. Our deputy manager Michelle provided the meat which was graciously donated by her brother John McCrum, courtesy of Prime Cuts Butchers situated in Ballymena. John donated burgers and sausages for the staff to indulge in during this great weather which was very kind as its safe to say there was nothing left!
Even during these dark times, it’s important to maintain staff morale and relationships within the home and this was a small ‘pick me up’ for all the staff who have been working effortlessly to keep COVID19 out of your loved ones home.
May I also take this opportunity to remind you that Facetime Calls are still available within the home, just please ring and ask for Francine. Window meet and greets are still available weather dependent and if the families adhere to the 2 metres social distancing rule.
Thank you all again for your continuous support and please stay safe and stay alert.
Rest assured, your loved ones are in good hands.
