Christmas Spirit in Abundance at Clonlee after Visits from Local Choirs

No Christmas at Clonlee  would  be complete without a children’s choir and Clonlee were delighted to welcome Ballycraigy Primary school choir to sing for the residents. Mrs. Edwards and the pupils enjoyed the short walk from the school to Clonlee and we’re sure they were practising their singing on the way over because they were word perfect.

After their performance the children spent time with the residents telling them what they were hoping to receive from Santa!  Tommy thanked Mrs Edwards and the children for coming and wished them a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year…

Now we love our choirs coming to visit so imagine the big Surprise for Audrey when she heard that the Salvation Army Choir was coming to sing in Clonlee.

Susan, the Officer in charge said she was delighted to bring the Christmas Message to Clonlee in story and song. Audrey and Tommy were a bit tearful as the evening brought back so many wonderful memories to both of them. Audrey told us that she sang in the Sally Army Band as a child…but not too loud as she often mimed the words …..Oh Audrey you’re a hoot !
