Still Smiling after 30 Years of Service at Drummaul House
Even some of the younger members of staff in Hutchinson Care Homes will tap their feet to the catchy ‘Come up and see me, make me smile’.. Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel Number one hit when it’s played… google it young uns.. you’ll know it… trust me!
However the one thing we know for sure is that if you go to Drummaul House to meet Nurse Manager Maria Bothwell you can be sure she is always smiling… still after an amazing 30 years of service.
Yes that’s right… Maria is celebrating 30 years at Hutchinson Care Homes Drummaul House and here she shares her story with us in short of course:
‘I started working in Drummaul House as a staff nurse in 1991 and was then appointed Nurse Manager in September 1999.
I cannot think of anywhere else I would rather be, as every day brings new challenges and rewards.
In 1999 when I was approached to become Nurse Manager at Drummaul House it took me on what has been the most amazing journey meeting incredible people along the way.
I have loved every moment of working at Hutchinson Care Homes and met and worked with the most amazing people who have made my job worthwhile. I look forward to a few more and promise to keep smiling throughout.’
