Aspiring Chef Se Bakes Up at Storm at Clonlee

It’s always a pleasure to welcome work experience students into Clonlee and this week was no exception as we welcomed Se Casey.
Se attends Parkanaur Collage Dungannon during the week and comes into Clonlee on a Monday on day release to help him develop his catering skills. He is working towards a recognised qualification in catering.
Se said, Adele, Head Cook at Clonlee and the kitchen staff are all very helpful to him and encourage him to try out more and more recipes.

Se has been baking tray bakes and scones for afternoon tea but he said the best part was the eating them afterwards  !

Se showed off his baking skills and made Care Assistant Danielle a chocolate cake for her last day in Clonlee, as she moves on to a new career in Belfast and thanked her for all her help.

As well as an aspiring chef Se is also a Gold Medal holder in the Special Olympics in the Basketball team. He was delighted to show us the medal and tell us the fun he had with his friends in Dublin. It was held over 4 days of non stop action in June and said it was a wonderful event seeing all the teams from all over the country.

Nurse Manager Pepsi, congratulated him on such a marvellous achievement and requested that on his next visit he makes a special chocolate cake for her – no real reason – she just likes Chocolate Cake !
