Palm Sunday Service Enjoyed By Residents and Staff at Massereene Manor
Palm Sunday is traditionally the moveable date that always falls on the Sunday before Easter and this year it was Sunday 14 April. The feast commemorates Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. In most churches Palm Sunday is celebrated by the blessing and distribution of palm branches representing the palm branches the crowd scattered in front of Christ as he rode into Jerusalem.
The Reverend Richard Kerr and his choir performed the service and all the residents enjoyed it and had light refreshments in Broomhill afterwards.
