Sleigh Bells Ring and Glenkeen Sing!

Name me one thing that truly makes Christmas enjoyable?

If you said wine, I’ll give you a point – but the true answer is Carols! Song brings so much joy especially at this time of year.

During the week our Carers ditched the tunics and put on their Christmas clothes to sing different carols to all our residents. As you can guess this went down a hit! Ranging from ‘White Christmas ‘to ‘Away in a Manger’, the residents in Glenkeen sang away with us all and we even made up a small Christmas poem.

Christmas week is very exciting in Glenkeen as the Christmas radio station is always on and the smiles of our staff brighten the place up.

We have even more activities this wee as we’ll  have a Christmas party where all residents will receive their gifts from us all and we’ll eat mince pies and drink Shloer until we’re sitting stuffed like the turkey that’ll be served here on Christmas Day!
