Summertime and The Living is Easy As Clonlee Residents head to The North Coast
Summer holidays were on everyone’s mind when the sun was shining this month, so we all booked a Down Memory Lane holiday with Terry in the driving seat.
Up around the Antrim Coast road we went with hands full of buckets and spades, swimsuits, camera and not forgetting the sunhats! Lots of memories and stories came back to everyone as we headed off and called into different beauty spots along the way. One stop everyone enjoyed talking about was Ballycastle, where they all had Dulse and Yellow man and then onwards to Portrush were the talk was all about the fun on the beach and building sandcastles. Billy said he remembered going on a donkey ride at the beach but the best was Barry’s. Other favourite places were Millisle, Killarney, Guernsey, Isle of Man, Isle of Skye before our bus journey finished with a sing-a-long, sand in our boots but happy smiling faces!
At the Ould Lammas Fair boys were you ever there,
Were you ever at the Fair in Ballycastle-o?
