Storm Ali Brings Back Memories for Residents of Clonlee

While Storm Ali raged across the province at 90mph the residents looked out at the trees blowing in the storm and were interested in seeing on the news about all the reports of the storm. At Belfast airport the winds caused delays and cancellation, cables fell  and trees were blown down across roads. Meta remembered all about going to school in stormy weather but never as severe as this.
Outside the trees dropped their branches and  Autumn fruits and the residents were interested in seeing the horse-chestnuts and acorns that were all scattered on the ground. Mel smiled and remembered the days of playing conkers in the playground with his friends while Billy told us all about the rules of the game.

Even the ladies were ready with advice on how to get the hardest conker for the game …..well done Meta.
