Clonlee Residents Enjoy Burns Day Dinner

There was fun and laughter in abundance as staff and residents from Clonlee enjoyed their Burns Day dinner.
Mary MacKay, our Scottish resident hosted a Burns Day dinner and invited her friends and some visitors to toast a wee dram to her hero Rabbie Burns.
Robert Burns, also known as Rabbie Burns, The Bard of Ayrshire, Ploughman Poet and various other names and epithets, was Scottish poet and lyricist. He’s wildly regarded as the national poet of Scotland and celebrated world wild.
Mary thoroughly enjoyed reciting the ode to a Haggis and informing all the dinner guests what the ingredients might be!
John, said grace, of course one Rabbie said himself, before they all tucked in….
Some hae meat and canne eat-
and some wad eat that want it-
but we hae meat and we can eat –
sae let the Lord be thank it.
