Burns Night and Birthday Celebrations Order of the Day in Clonlee

The residents and staff of Clonlee never miss the opportunity to have a party or celebration.. Burns Night  .. tick … Georgina’s 88th birthday …tick !

So let’s start with the Burns Celebrations …we were joined by some of the members of Burnside accordion band who with great gusto enjoyed playing for the residents. To keep the party spirit going some of the residents read out Rabbie Burns poems and we all toasted Rabbie with Iron Bru and finished of the celebration with a good old sing a long of Auld Lang Syne  At the end of the celebrations Pepsi and Jean  gave a donation to the band as a thank you for their support which was greatly appreciated.

 

So what next I hear you say.. well it was time to party with Georgina and her daughter Irene. Georgina  had her birthday in January and her daughter Irene made the birthday cake which she cut and shared with all her mum’s friends and other residents. Georgina celebrated her 88 years in style and the party entertainment was provided by Courtney Craig who is always welcome at Clonlee.

 

The only question at the end of all this was simple .. when’s the next party ?
