Antrim Care Home Celebrate Roald Dahl Day With Iconic Movie Morning

Roald Dahl Day is an annual global celebration of Roald Dahl’s marvellous stories, characters and worlds from Matilda to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Roald Dahl was a British author of popular children’s literature and short stories, a poet, screenwriter and a wartime fighter ace. His books have sold more than 300 million copies worldwide and he has been called ‘one of the greatest storytellers for children of the 20th century.

So the staff and residents of Antrim Care Home marked the occasion recently with a movie morning, showing of the 1971 classic “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory”. Along with lots of chocolate goodies and hot chocolate  a great time was had by everyone and the only question on everyone’s lips at the end of the day was …’ when are we holding the next movie morning  ?’
