We’re recruiting for Charge Nurse’s at Massereene Manor (Days & Nights)
What are we looking for in a Charge Nurse?
- Proven ability in decision making when faced with work situations sometimes at short notice.
- Proven experience managing issues with staff and delegating appropriately in a professional and respectful manner – for example staff not agreeing with decisions being made or needing to be reminded of standards of care expected or taking on board staff feedback.
- Proven experience working as a team – this role will involve taking the needs of the whole home into consideration and prioritising accordingly
- Proven experience in creating and quality assuring resident care plans and audits
This role involves additional Nursing duties, such as:
- Quality assuring care plan audits across the Home in Epicare – putting in place action plans and follow up as required
- Managing stock control of medications as necessary
- Delegation of resources across the Home as necessary (for example redirecting staff across units to meet the overall needs of Home)
- Taking action to cover staff as required for example calls regarding sick leave at short notice or emergencies from staff
- Being the point of contact for any queries that arise
- Any other duties as required to support the Care Home Manager
