Time to Bid Fond Farewell to Clonlee Cook Kate as she Heads for Pastures New

Kate Janczarek, who was our Cook is leaving for pastures new in Norway and her co-workers in the kitchen gave her a farewell party in work.

Kate tells us that she came to Clonlee nine years ago as kitchen assistant and worked hard on her skills with lots of encouragement from management and staff and is now a very confident cook and loves to make our Northern Irish meals.

At first it was different dishes and recipes for her, but with head cook Adele teaching she soon became a whizz in the kitchen. Irish stew, soda buns, champ and Ulster frys were some of her favourites which she said she will take with her and share.

Here’s Kate’s farewell words:

“I have had the pleasure of working with lovely people and would like to thank management for all the support I got when I arrived here from Poland. I will take lovely memories with me but I would like to congratulate Robert Wood, who is taking on the post of cook and wish him all the best and I know the kitchen is in good hands.

Bon-voyage Kate!
